Dear Beloved,

There are seasons when God invites His people into a deeper experience of His presence.

In such seasons, the pathway to experiencing the fullness of God is not relentless striving but learning to rest in Him.

In a powerful message titled ā€œRest On Me (Exploring the Riches of His Glory)ā€ by Apostle Joshua Selman, we are reminded that the glory of God manifests most powerfully where hearts have learned to depend on Him completely.

šŸ“– Haggai 2:9
ā€œThe glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, saith the LORD of hosts and in this place will I give peace, saith the LORD of hosts.ā€

This scripture reveals a profound mystery. God promises a greater manifestation of glory, yet the atmosphere where that glory rests is a place of peace.

Divine glory and divine rest are closely connected. When a believer learns to rest in God, the environment becomes suitable for the manifestation of His glory.

TEACHING HIGHLIGHT

The glory of God is the manifestation of His presence and power among His people. Scripture reveals that glory is not merely an emotional experience but the tangible evidence of God's involvement in the lives of men.

In Haggai 2:9, God promises a glory that surpasses what was seen before. However, the same scripture also reveals that the place where this glory manifests is a place of peace.

This shows that glory thrives in the atmosphere of rest.

The Apostle Paul further expands this understanding in 2 Corinthians 4:17–18, explaining that the challenges believers face in this life are temporary, yet they are producing an eternal weight of glory.

When believers shift their focus from temporary struggles to eternal realities, they position themselves to experience the glory that God intends to reveal.

True spiritual maturity is seen when a believer stops being overwhelmed by what is happening around them and instead anchors their heart in the unseen realities of God’s kingdom.

Rest is not laziness.
Rest is confidence in the sovereignty and faithfulness of God.

PROPHETIC ENCOURAGEMENT

I sense the Lord saying,

ā€œFix your eyes on what I am doing, not on what you are seeing.ā€

Some of you have been distracted by temporary circumstances. The pressures around you seem heavy, but heaven calls them light afflictions compared to the glory that is being prepared.

As you refocus your heart on God’s promises, the weight of His glory will begin to manifest in your life.

Where there has been discouragement, strength will arise.
Where there has been confusion, clarity will come.
Where there has been pressure, the peace of God will take over.

This is a season where the Lord is revealing a greater dimension of His glory to those who trust Him.

YOUR ASSIGNMENT

This week, prayerfully reflect on these questions.

Am I focusing more on temporary situations than on eternal promises?

What areas of my life require me to trust God more deeply?

How can I cultivate a lifestyle that welcomes the presence and glory of God daily?

Take time to meditate on these scriptures and allow them to shape your perspective.

When your focus changes, your experience of God changes.

May the Lord establish His peace in your heart.
May your life become a dwelling place for the riches of His glory.
And may the glory of the latter season of your life surpass everything that came before.

With love and prayers,
